The leaves are definitely gone. But so has the snow! This sunday (3rd Feb) we’re back out in the Garden armed with a winter of idea’s and plans we’ll be kicking the garden into shape from 12-4pm.
Bring suitable clothing, idea’s, and a hunger for so good fun outdoor work. Amongst the first projects is liberating the pond from it’s restrictive fence. Start developing compost corner. Clear away the bramble forest! And getting the growing beds ready.
Refreshments will be provided on the day. Kids, bring your parents.

Friday saw the second performance in deptford from assembly residents and comedy genius’ intuitive creatures. The lower school gym was transformed into a theatre for laughter, packed to the rafters with like minded friends and intrigued minds.

The group of 4 rocked the stage for nearly an hour. Hopefully we’ll have some more performances in the future.

Another SUper successful sunday session in the Garden at Assembly. We finished off the treehouse with a pitched roof, lookout tower and a hammock. We made charcoal and ate warming soup.
Unfortunately this sunday was the last of our open family workshops until the new year. We’ll be keeping busy planning workshops, doing up our space and getting lots of fun things to keep you warm in the coming months.

Come and discover a hidden gem of Deptford: Old Tidemill Schools Wildlife Garden. Assembly along with local parents and London Play are running fortnightly gardening and wild play workshops every Sunday.
This Sunday 25th November
We’re up in the tree tops again this week, continuing to build our second level in the treehouse.
Be prepared to get muddy and damp! We’re going to working around and in the pond to clear the over growth, so if you have wellies put them on, your need them! Children and adults are welcome to explore the wildlife garden and playground there’s ample space for games.
Also bring memories of street and playground games you use to play or play now. We’re making a short video pitch for some funding for a project based around intergenerational play.
All ages are welcome, no building or gardening experience necessary, just an imagination. Warming fresh soup and refreshments provided for hard workers. You can also bring snacks along to share. Wear suitable clothing that you don’t mind getting muddy as we’re be outside all day. Tools provided.
